US Wastes $ 1 Trillion a Year on Healthcare

The United States spends almost twice as much on healthcare as a fraction of GDP and on a per person basis than the average of other economically developed nations without achieving substantially better health outcomes The United States spends significantly more on health care than of the other high income   democracies.  For 2016 the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) reported that the United States spent 17.2% of its Gross Domestic Product on health care.
